Bulgaria’s Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, stated the Council of Ministers is giving consideration to structural changes in the cabinet.
Borisov spoke Friday during the regular parliamentary control session.
“We wish to improve the situation, including by making staff changes,” Borisov informed, adding he is still waiting to hear the opinion of European experts over fears that the appointment of a Deputy PM in charge of the EU funds can delay EU programs.

The Soviet issued directions for the construction of Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) point out that terrains such as the Belene one are unsuitable for such projects.
The research conducted by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 1990, based on Soviet expert opinion, was presented Friday by the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF) party, which is part of the rightist Blue Coalition, along with a proposal to halt the project to build a second Bulgarian NPP in the Danube town of Belene. The proposal is signed by 10 Members of the Parliament.

A new special Deputy Prime Minister in charge of EU funds absorption is needed, according to rightists allies of Bulgaria’s ruling party GERB.
The Democrats for Strong Bulgaria party, which is part of the rightist Blue Coalition, announced Tuesday that it had already insisted before Prime Minister Borisov and Finance Minister Djankov on the appointment of an additional Deputy PM and on changing the structure of managing the absorption of EU money.
