BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA: Zero VAT Rate is not Recommended

It was asked from BiH, within European Partnership, to “further on harmonize laws on customs and taxes with the EU regulations”.

Introduction of the zero VAT rate on certain categories of products and services for which it was not envisaged might not be recommended in the context of recommendations from European Partnership.

This was said today for Fena from European Commission Delegation in BiH on request to make comments on invitations of some BiH political parties and association for introduction of the zero VAT rate on basic sustaining food, drugs and school materials.

REGION: Serbian, Republika Srpska Energy Ministries to Improve Cooperation

Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Petar Skundric today talked with Republik Srpska Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining Slobodan Puhalac about cooperation between the two countries in terms of energy.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Mining and Energy, the meeting discussed future cooperation regarding hydro-energy projects on the Drina river, as well as the current situation in the oil and gas sectors after the sale of 51 % of the Serbian oil industry NIS.
